Review: L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream

As much as I love the cooler weather, the one thing I’m not looking forward to is the dry skin that comes along with it. As such, I’ve been looking for a good hand cream to help fight this. I’ve always liked Aveda Hand Relief, it’s usually the first thing I reach for when I need to moisturizing my skin.

While walking through the Pier Shops at Caesars in Atlantic City, I came across a body care shop called L’Occitane, and stopped in to see what they were selling. I came across their L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream, and was intrigued by the description:

Enriched with 20% Shea Butter, this super-creamy balm penetrates quickly to protect, nourish and moisturize hands. Honey, almond extracts and coconut oil are blended with Shea Butter to create this extremely effective formula. The rich texture leaves hands soft and smooth with no oily traces, and can be applied as often as needed.

I tried it on at the store, and I loved it.. So I decided to purchase a travel size tube (1 oz) for $10. I figured this would make for a good test, since a little goes a long way.

This is the most luxurious hand cream I’ve ever tried! The formula is rich and creamy, and it’s absorbed into the skin really fast, leaving my hands feeling silky soft! It has a very light smell to it, and the texture is nice and smooth.

I absolutely love this hand cream, and I’ll be getting the bigger size tube the next time I visit L’Occitane!
