Four Seasons Resort Maui Announces “Complete Suite Experience”

The Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea has quite a treat in store for guests who book a stay in one of the Resort’s Ocean-front or Residential suites – An inclusive, amenities rich experience wrapped into one price — including “double round trip” transfers starting from the guest’s home.

This “Complete Suite Experience” provides guests to the five-star resort in Maui with sleek luxury car pick-up from their home to the airport with Uber and an eco-friendly Tesla or a private SUV provided by Four Seasons Resort Maui waiting to whisk them from Kahului Airport in Maui to the Resort in Wailea. At the end of the stay, the process repeats the luxury transfers, delivering guests in style and comfort to their home.

“We have long wanted to provide guests with a Maui vacation experience that begins the moment they step out of their home. Having Uber as a partner allows us to provide premium car service in over 100 cities around the world” says Four Seasons Resort Maui’s Marketing Director Mark Simon. The company provides “Black Car” — its luxury sedan, town car or SUV service, driven by professional chauffeurs, ready and waiting for pick-up and delivery to the tropical paradise.

The Resort offers the largest hotel suites on Maui, all with spectacular Pacific Ocean views, giving guests extra space for relaxing and entertaining just like at home—and thoughtful amenities right down to fresh flowers and high-speed Internet. Guests can choose luxurious Maui oceanfront suites with 180-degree panoramas from two lanais: one with a dining table and one with two lounge chairs for relaxing in the sun. Suites are decorated with residential quality furnishings and selections from an original Hawaiian-inspired art.

In developing the “Complete Suite Experience,” the Resort’s team started with a basic premise — The Golden Rule. “We challenged ourselves to find ways to provide our guests with an experience that we, in turn, would want to experience on our travels,” says Simon.

The result: a group of “musts” for guests beyond all of the already incredible complimentary services and amenities that Four Seasons Resort Maui is known for.

Guests start each day with a complimentary lavish breakfast buffet at the Resort’s DUO restaurant. Or, if they wish, room service can be ordered and served in suite or on their balcony while enjoying breathtaking views of Maui.

When it’s time to plan the day’s activities, the award-winning concierge staff including a group of Clefs d’Or concierges, stands ready to create custom itineraries. Rent a car? Certainly no problem for the concierge team to handle and parking at the Resort for Complete Suite guests is complimentary.

Another “must” is daily laundry. The Resort includes complimentary laundry throughout the stay. “Imagine the luxury and convenience of having your laundry cleaned, folded and ready for wear or packing as often as you like throughout your stay,” adds Simon.

All in all, guests are enveloped with a plentiful group of amenities, activities and services.

It’s all spelled out on the resort’s Complete Suite Experience page. “We want our guests to consider their suite stay like being at home but with extra benefits,” notes Simon.

How To Sneak Alcohol Onto A Cruise Ship

Carnival Drink Of The Day

On most cruises I’ve been on, I stick to the occasional Diet Coke, and maybe a Drink of the Day or two. But I have friends who spend a TON of money on alcohol during their cruise, not realizing how fast those $8 drinks add up.. Then they get a $600 alcohol bill, and it almost ruins their vacation!

In the old days, it wasn’t too hard to smuggle alcohol on board. Or better yet, you could just buy alcohol from the duty-free store and bring it back to your room. But it’s not that easy anymore.

Still, some people have found ways to get alcohol past security, and I thought it’d be fun to share a few tips:

1) One of my favorites is using a mouth wash bottle and food coloring. Fill up your Scope bottle with clear liquor and put some green food coloring in it to make it green.

2) Gift wrap a case of Heineken or other premium beverage, and just walk right on in with it. Dressed appropriately, it works. If anyone asks, the answer is “It’s a gift for the captain”. No one ever has.

3) Replace the water in water bottles with alcohol. Some people say security has been shaking bottles looking for bubbles, so you might want to consider using a Sprite bottle instead.

Here’s a video showing you how to do this:

Royal Caribbean’s Quantum of the Seas Ship To Offer Skydiving, Bumper Cars, and Trapeze Lessons

When Royal Caribbean unveiled their upcoming Quantum of the Seas ship earlier this week, they had people saying Wow!

Personally, I didn’t think they’d be able to outdo the Oasis and Alure of the Seas, but this new (slightly smaller) ship delivers in spades, with all the bells and whistles that cruisers have become accustomed to in recent years.

The 167,800-ton, 4,180-passenger ship, set to launch from Cape Liberty in Bayonne NJ in Fall 2014, will include features such as indoor skydiving, bumper cars, trapeze lessons, studios with balconies, and inside cabins with “virtual balconies.”

The Best Places To Visit In London

London Eye at Night

London is a favorite destination for many people during the summer. The city gets VERY crowded around July. But regardless of when you’re planning on visiting London, be sure to check the weather forecast first, as weather in London is very unpredictable.

There’s plenty to do year-round, and it’s rich history and architecture attract visitors from around the world. London is the capital and the largest city of both UK and England, and at the same time it’s the largest city in the European Union.

The Houses of Parliament stands right by the old Palace of Westminster. The oldest part of House of Parliament is the Westminster Hall, which was built in 1097. The Westminster hall is one of Europe’s largest unsupported medieval halls. And let’s not forget that the clock tower is home to the world-famous Big Ben. You can even climb the stairs to the top to see the famous bell!

One of London’s greatest icons is the Westminster Abbey. It’s where each and every King and Queen has been crowned since 1066. If you’d like to get a birds-eye view of the city, the London Eye is an amazing way to do so. On a sunny day, the whole city is laid out in front of you. London Eye presents another extraordinary and entertaining way to enjoy the capital city.

There are many new shows and events that take place in London’s theaters. The one that stands out is the Apollo Victoria Theater. The theater is located on West-End of the city. It’s an icon that is a must-see for many travelers. Apollo Victoria opened as the New Victoria Cinema in 1930, at a cost of a quarter million pounds. Thanks to its architectural design and history, the building is believed to be the most important and interesting cinema building in the UK.

The East End of London is where you can take a tour around Whitechapel and find out interesting facts about the murders of Jack the Ripper. Most of his killings took place around that neighborhood, and still there are buildings and restaurants reminding us of the serial killer.

London is a city with a plenty of history and sites to be seen. It’s impossible to describe through words, it needs to be experienced first-hand. The city offers entertainment for people seeking to explore history, or enjoy a romantic vocation. In the center of the city, you’ll find a town filled with parks and gardens, which makes it not only full of history, but also full of life and nature.

Taking Advantage Of The Carnival Triumph Fiasco

Carnival Triumph

By now, I’m sure you’ve heard about the Carnival Triumph fiasco, which has been often referred to as the “cruise from hell” and the “poop cruise”. The nightmare is finally over for the trapped passengers, but Carnival has a tough road ahead of itself.

Carnival stands to lose between $80-100 million from this disaster, not to mention how this might affect future bookings.. Would you really want to cruise with Carnival in light of this disaster?

In order to keep their boats at capacity, Carnival will have to discount upcoming cruises, and I fully plan on taking advantage of this to score a cheap cruise! 🙂

I’ve cruised with Carnival probably 6-7 times over the past decade (including two cruises on the Triumph), and I’ve always had a great time! This was a freak accident, but I’m not going to let it scare me away from cruising again.

Will you?

Why It’s Worthy Paying For A Bulkhead Seat

I’m visiting my Mom in Arizona right now, and when I flew out I chose a bulkhead seat.

Bulkhead seats are seats located directly behind the bulkhead separators. In addition to separating classes from one another (i.e. business and economy), bulkheads can be found throughout larger planes, separating the seats from the galley and lavatory areas.

Now, if you’ve met me, you’re probably scratching your head wondering why I’d spend good money on a “choice seat”, given that I’m all of 5ft. But there are more advantages than just legroom:

  • With no seat in front of you, no one can recline their seats into your lap.
  • It’s easy to get in and out of your seats without having to disturb your neighbors.
  • You get served food and drinks first – No more having to worry about the airline running out of turkey sandwiches by the time they get to Row 22.
  • You get priority boarding, so you don’t have to stress about them running out of overhead space for your carry-on luggage!
  • You get off the plane first since you’re up front near the exit.

The downsides are pretty minimal. With no seat in front of you, there’s no under-seat stowage for a carry-on bag, so everything has to be placed in the overhead compartment for takeoff and landing. And if your bulkhead seat is near a lavatory, you’re going to be constantly disturbed. This is why I only go for the bulkhead seats behind first-class.

On this trip, the upgraded seat cost me $49 each way. That might seem like a lot to some, but I felt it’s was well worth it for all the extra perks that come with it.

Something to think about the next time you’re booking a flight!
