Baby pugs are freaking adorable, that goes without saying, But when Mel Stringer filled the playpen of her baby pug Grover with plastic balls and his favorite toys and placed him inside, it took things to a whole other level.
Now this could’ve ended in a variety of ways, but pair a dog’s ability to get excited over anything with the introduction of something new and really there was only one possible outcome.
Watch the video for yourself and see how a ball pit made this pug’s life!

When I woke up this morning, the new Fifty Shades of Grey trailer was being posted all over Facebook. So after the third or fourth posting, I decided to watch it for myself and see what all the hype was about.
Now as someone who’s read the book, I’m not sure how this will translate into a 2-hour movie, but the trailer definitely looks authentic to the book. I also had mixed feelings about the casting of Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson for Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele, but they seems to work from what I can see here.
The movie is set to be released on February 14th 2015, and I predict it’ll break all kinds of box office records, given that it was one of the biggest and fastest-selling book series ever.
What do you think of the trailer?

A few weeks ago, Ford brought me out to Dearborn Michigan to attend their annual Go Further With Ford event, a 3-day trend conference that covers a wide variety of topics. As some of you might remember, I attending this event last year and I had a great time, so I was really looking forward to seeing what they had in store for us this time around.
When I checked in at the registration desk, they told me that complimentary manicures were starting at 2pm. OMG, this trip was already off to a great start!
With about an hour to spare, I went to my room, unpacked, and then headed downstairs to get some lunch. Afterwards, I headed to the hospitality suite where the manicures were being given and got in line. (Apparently word traveled fast)
Now you might find it odd that a car company was giving out free manis, but it turns out that Ford and OPI had partnered on a limited-edition nail lacquer collection inspired by the iconic Mustang. The OPI Ford Mustang collection features six standout shades that all capturing the spirit, passion and excitement of Ford Mustang.
Ford Mustang by OPI includes these six limited-edition shades:
- Race Red: The hero color of the collection, Race Red pays tribute to one of Mustang’s signature colors and brings to life the passion and excitement of the iconic car
- Queen of the Road: Inspired by Mustang’s dramatic and perfectly appointed cabin, a black interior evokes sophistication and will always be a classic – just like the little black dress
- 50 Years of Style: Just like Mustang, celebrate all your milestones with this made-to-party golden pearl
- Girls Love Ponies: A woman is multifaceted; this grown-up pink acts as a reminder of her femininity, even as she takes to the wheel of the powerful pony
- The Sky’s My Limit: There is nothing like the freedom of the open road and shimmering, endless blue sky. This aqua hue awakens a woman’s sense of adventure and is a trend shade for summer going into the fall.
- Angel with a Leadfoot: Drive up and say “halo” to this celestial white. Whether worn alone or as an accent, white is essential to a woman’s wardrobe and to making a statement
I decided to try Girls Love Ponies, a shade that’s bolder than I normally opt for. I ended up LOVING the color, so much so that I bought a bottle of it from ULTA when I got back home. They’ve also got a Pony Pack sampler, so you can try out the other shades and see which ones you like the best.
Thanks for Ford for treating us girls to manicures at Go Further With Ford!

Big Brother is my summer guilty pleasure, and it’s back for another season starting this Wednesday. That’s right, we get a house full of new strangers vying for that half million dollar prize, and they’re willing to sell their dignity to get it!
Last year’s cast was absolutely shocking, with racism running strong inside the house, which ultimately led to people losing their jobs when they got back in the “real” world.
Will this season’s cast be more conscious of the cameras and watch what they say after what happened last year? I guess we’ll see soon enough..
Yes, I probably have better things to do with the 3 hours a week I’m wasting on this show, but I cant help it.

While passing thru Nordstroms the other day, I decided to try on some MAC Cosmetics eye shadow. For years I had been using Clinique eye shadow (Victorian Pink), but last year they discontinued my favorite color and I’ve been on the hunt for a replacement ever since.
I was really bummed out by this, but I knew I had to move on. The MAC makeup artist was very helpful and picked out 2 colors that she said would make my hazel eyes pop. They were All That Glitters and Creme de Violet. I told her that I wanted colors that I could wear during the day at work, but when she had finished applying the colors to me, I looked like I was ready to head out to a nightclub.
Unfortunately, I just wasn’t happy with MAC’s color options, they were all too bright for me. So I headed back to the Clinique counter a few days later and purchase Ballet Flats and Nude Rose, which are pretty similar to my beloved Victorian Pink. Honestly, I’m not sure why I strayed from Clinique in the first place.
Lesson learned, stick with what you know.

Last week, I attended an advanced screening for Tom Cruise’s new action sci-fi movie Edge of Tomorrow and I really enjoyed it. So imagine my surprise when I found out the movie fizzled at the box office over the weekend, coming in a distant third.
The movie, which stars Cruise and Emily Blunt, is about Earth’s fight against aliens that are trying taking over the planet, and Cruise’s ability to replay the same day over and over again, much like in Groundhog Day. The difference? He learns from each previous instance, going from a rookie soldier to an unstoppable force. There’s also similarities to Source Code with Jake Gyllenhaal, another favorite of mine.
As a huge Tom Cruise fan, I was definitely excited to see Edge of Tomorrow, and it didn’t disappoint one bit. I thought Cruise and Blunt had great on-screen chemistry, and the movie really kept my attention (which is saying something since I sometimes have ADD and have trouble sitting still while watching movies).
So I say ignore everyone else’s opinions and go see the movie. But save your money and skip the 3D, as the special effects aren’t worth the extra money!

With bathing suit season just around the corner, I’ve been looking for a healthy dessert that will satisfy my sweet tooth without betraying my waistline. Lucky for me, I recently discovered Dole’s line of frozen “Dippers”.
My favorite of the bunch has to be their Strawberry Dippers, which are strawberry halves covered in dark chocolate. With 4 slices per pack, they only have 60 calories, and they’re the perfect fix when I’m craving something sweet.
Try them for yourselves, and let me know what you thought of ‘em!
